Cult of the Lamb: The Board Game - Pre-launch Update #1: Free Gift, Followers, Game Preview + More

As the year comes to a close, we’re thrilled to share a bit more about what’s ahead for the Kickstarter campaign and the game itself. 

🎁 Free Gift for All Pre-Launch Followers!

Good news; if you've received this update via email, you're a pre-launch follower and will qualify for a free gift if you back at a physical reward level during the campaign!

We'll be revealing the gift next year, but it will allow allow you to customise your followers in an unique way - we’d love to read your guesses in the comments!

👀 Game Preview

In Cult of the Lamb: The Board Game, you and up to three players will be running your own cults, playing over four rounds to determine who is the greatest cult leader. 

Each round of the game is split into two phases - a light dungeon crawling crusade and a cult building worker placement phase where you will be growing your cult, building your camp and (of course) sacrificing each other’s followers!

During each dungeon phase, you'll fight unique enemies and take on a different Bishop - each with their own rewards. Take your favourite weapons with you, from necromantic axes to godly daggers.

A solo mode is also included in the box - take the Lamb through their quest to defeat all of the the Bishops! 

🎲 Your Followers

Your followers are a big part of Cult of the Lamb: The Board Game. Each follower acts as a worker for the cult, gathering resources from the world. 

Each time a follower is recruited, you'll take their cute wooden head and place it into a robe miniature reflecting your player colour. Followers also comes with their own personality trait and name, allowing you to build a cult that feels entirely your own. 

You can have six followers at any time. Each follower can be upgraded to levels 2 (by adding a halo to their miniature) and 3 (by adding a altar) - this will unlock more powerful worker placement options for your most dedicated cult members! 

As you gather followers, don't forget to keep them healthy! Followers can get sick or die, especially if you don't keep your cult poop-free!

We've had a blast showing off these components and talking to the flock at Essen Spiel and PAX Unplugged this year. You'll see us in action below; it was lovely to meet so many fans as excited as we are, and we were lucky enough to encounter some incredible COTL cosplays too!
